Role Overview

InnovateAI Research is looking for a brilliant, highly analytical, and innovative AI Research Engineer to join our core research division. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct foundational and applied research in machine learning, deep learning, and generative AI.
• Design and prototype novel neural network architectures to solve complex, open-ended problems.
• Translate research breakthroughs into high-performance, production-ready code.
• Scale training infrastructure and optimize distributed training workflows for large-scale models.
• Stay updated on the latest academic literature, attend conferences, and publish high-quality research papers.
• Collaborate across teams to integrate research innovations into core system features.
• Debug and resolve complex issues related to model convergence, training stability, and performance.
• Participate in peer design reviews to maintain engineering and scientific excellence.
• Contribute to the development of internal tools, evaluation benchmarks, and simulation environments.
• Document research methodology, experimental results, and architectural insights for internal and external publication.

Required Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD degree in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field (exceptional Bachelor’s candidates with strong research backgrounds will be considered).
• Proven proficiency in Python and deep mastery of ML research frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX).
• Strong foundation in mathematics, including linear algebra, calculus, probability, and optimization theory.
• Demonstrated research experience through publications at top-tier venues (e.g., NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR).
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex research concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• A proactive, problem-solving mindset and a passion for advancing the state-of-the-art in AI.
• Freshers with high academic achievements, relevant internships, or strong personal research projects are encouraged to apply; we provide extensive mentorship.
• Reliable high-speed internet connection for consistent, professional virtual collaboration.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with high-performance computing (HPC) and distributed training on large clusters.
• Understanding of generative AI (diffusion models, LLMs, transformers).
• Experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) for AI R&D.
• Ability to implement papers from scratch based on reading scientific literature.
• Knowledge of statistics, data analysis, and rigorous hypothesis testing.
