Role Overview

PromptStream Dynamics is looking for a creative, analytical, and language-focused Prompt Engineer to join our remote-first AI development team. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and iterate on complex prompts for various LLMs to ensure optimal model performance.
• Maintain a comprehensive library of reusable prompt templates for different business use cases.
• Perform rigorous evaluation of model responses to ensure accuracy, safety, and alignment with project goals.
• Collaborate with AI engineers and product managers to understand technical requirements and user needs.
• Experiment with advanced prompting techniques like chain-of-thought, few-shot prompting, and iterative refinement.
• Analyze failure patterns in model outputs and implement strategies to mitigate hallucinations and inaccuracies.
• Document prompt effectiveness, model parameters, and optimization findings for cross-team knowledge sharing.
• Participate in peer reviews of prompt pipelines to maintain high standards of quality and consistency.
• Research and implement new prompting methods based on the latest generative AI developments.
• Support the integration of prompt-based workflows into larger software applications.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Linguistics, Cognitive Science, or a related technical/humanities field.
• Strong communication skills and a deep mastery of the English language.
• Solid understanding of how large language models work, including basic knowledge of tokenization, context windows, and parameters.
• Demonstrated experience in crafting prompts that achieve consistent results across different LLM platforms (e.g., GPT, Claude, Llama).
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git or prompt management tools.
• A proactive, problem-solving mindset and a passion for exploring the boundaries of AI potential.
• Freshers with high aptitude for technology, research, and linguistics are encouraged to apply; we provide extensive mentorship.
• Reliable high-speed internet connection for consistent, professional virtual collaboration.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with AI orchestration frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex).
• Basic proficiency in Python for automating prompt evaluation or data processing.
• Familiarity with prompt testing frameworks and evaluation metrics (e.g., RAG evaluation).
• Knowledge of different model architectures (Transformer-based models) and fine-tuning concepts.
• Experience in technical writing or software product documentation.
