You will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and ongoing support of our Linux server environment. Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will manage a diverse range of critical infrastructure tasks. Key responsibilities include:

  • Infrastructure Maintenance: Manage, configure, and troubleshoot Linux server environments (RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS) to ensure continuous uptime.
  • System Monitoring & Performance: Deploy monitoring tools to track system health metrics, proactively identifying potential bottlenecks.
  • Security Implementation: Harden Linux systems by applying security patches, managing SELinux/AppArmor policies, and conducting regular audits.
  • Automation & Scripting: Develop and refine scripts (using Bash, Python, or Perl) to automate repetitive administrative tasks and improve efficiency.
  • Disaster Recovery & Data Integrity: Architect and execute backup/restore strategies for critical Linux-based filesystems.
  • Cloud Administration: Maintain cloud resources within platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, ensuring optimal performance for Linux instances.
  • Identity & Access Management: Manage user permissions, SSH key management, and internal security policies.
  • Technical Collaboration: Partner with developers and DevOps engineers to facilitate seamless deployment pipelines.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed, accurate documentation of system architecture, SOPs, and incident resolution records.
  • Troubleshooting: Provide high-level technical support for kernel issues, file system errors, and connectivity problems as they arise.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Deep understanding of Linux OS internals, system administration, and file systems.
  • Solid grasp of networking, DNS, DHCP, and VPN configurations in Linux environments.
  • Familiarity with virtualization and container technologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Hands-on experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, or Chef).
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Industry certifications (e.g., RHCSA, RHCE, CompTIA Linux+).
  • Understanding of web servers (Apache, Nginx) and load balancers.
