Role Overview

As our Internal Auditor, you will be responsible for evaluating the effectiveness of our internal controls, financial systems, and operational processes. You will conduct systematic reviews to ensure that our operations are compliant with internal policies, legal requirements, and best practices. Your work will provide the leadership team with the critical insights necessary to mitigate risks and enhance overall operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Audit Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive annual internal audit plan to cover all high-risk areas across the organization.
  • System Review: Evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of internal financial controls and operational systems.
  • Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify potential financial, operational, or compliance risks and suggest actionable mitigation strategies.
  • Compliance Monitoring: Ensure that all business operations adhere to internal policies, industry standards, and relevant legal/statutory regulations.
  • Audit Reporting: Prepare clear, concise, and professional audit reports highlighting findings, root causes, and recommendations for leadership review.
  • Follow-up & Implementation: Monitor the implementation of recommended corrective actions to ensure issues are resolved promptly and effectively.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with department managers to communicate audit findings, provide guidance on best practices, and facilitate change.
  • Evidence Management: Systematically collect, verify, and document evidence to support audit findings in accordance with professional standards.
  • External Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors and statutory bodies during annual examinations.
  • Continuous Improvement: Keep updated with emerging audit trends, software tools, and regulatory shifts to modernize our internal audit practices.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fields (CA, CIA, or CISA qualifications are highly preferred).
  • Freshers are welcome to apply; significant experience in internal or external auditing is a strong advantage.
  • High proficiency in MS Excel and analytical data tools.
  • Strong moral compass and an uncompromising commitment to integrity and objectivity.
  • Exceptional critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English to engage with stakeholders at all levels.

Preferred Skills

  • Advanced knowledge of auditing standards, COSO frameworks, and internal control structures.
  • Experience with ERP systems or accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Tally).
  • Ability to work autonomously and maintain objectivity in a fully remote environment.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple audits simultaneously.
