Role Overview

Markup Mastery is seeking a meticulous, detail-oriented, and highly skilled HTML Developer to join our remote-first frontend team. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for translating design wireframes into clean, semantic, and highly performant HTML/CSS structures. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain clean, semantic, and accessible HTML5 structures for web applications.
• Translate design mockups from Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch into responsive web pages.
• Write maintainable and scalable CSS/SCSS to bring UI designs to life.
• Ensure cross-browser compatibility and responsive performance across mobile, tablet, and desktop devices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional design and backend teams to integrate markup with application logic.
• Debug and resolve layout issues, browser rendering inconsistencies, and accessibility defects.
• Participate in peer code reviews to maintain high quality, consistency, and adherence to best practices.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal frontend design systems and CSS frameworks.
• Research and implement new frontend web standards and techniques to push creative boundaries.
• Document HTML/CSS components and style guides for seamless team collaboration.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Web Design, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and the fundamental box model.
• Understanding of semantic markup, accessibility (WCAG), and SEO-friendly code practices.
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a remote, distributed team.
• A proactive, problem-solving mindset and a passion for creating high-quality, pixel-perfect user interfaces.
• Freshers with strong portfolio projects or internship experience are encouraged to apply; we provide extensive mentorship.
• Reliable high-speed internet connection for consistent, professional virtual collaboration.

Preferred Skills

• Proficiency in preprocessors like SASS/SCSS for structured CSS management.
• Experience with JavaScript/jQuery for basic interactivity.
• Understanding of frontend build tools (Gulp, Webpack, Vite).
• Familiarity with CSS frameworks (Bootstrap, Tailwind).
• Knowledge of responsive design testing and performance optimization tools.
