Role Overview

As an Investment Analyst, you will conduct rigorous analysis to evaluate potential investment opportunities, including market entry, partnerships, and capital allocation. You will work closely with the leadership team to build financial models, perform competitive benchmarking, and assess the risk-return profile of various initiatives. This role is ideal for a professional with a strong financial background, keen business intuition, and a drive for analytical excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Opportunity Evaluation: Analyze potential investment opportunities, including M&A, startups, and product expansions.
  • Financial Modeling: Create comprehensive valuation models (DCF, comparable company analysis, precedent transactions) to support decision-making.
  • Market Research: Conduct in-depth research on industry trends, competitive landscapes, and emerging market developments.
  • Portfolio Support: Assist in managing existing investment portfolios and tracking financial performance.
  • Management Reporting: Prepare high-level investment memos and dashboards for the leadership team and board of directors.
  • Risk Assessment: Identify and quantify risks associated with potential investments, including financial, market, and regulatory risks.
  • Strategic Analysis: Provide data-backed insights on how potential investments align with the company’s long-term strategic goals.
  • Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate with product and engineering teams to understand the technical viability and scalability of potential investments.
  • Data Management: Maintain accurate databases of market intelligence and internal financial analysis records.
  • Process Improvement: Develop and improve standard frameworks for the investment evaluation process.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related fields (CFA candidates/designates are preferred).
  • Freshers are welcome to apply; deep interest in finance and investments is mandatory.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling software.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to synthesize complex information into actionable insights.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently in a remote setting.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for presenting complex data clearly.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in financial valuation techniques and quantitative analysis.
  • Understanding of the tech industry, venture capital, or private equity landscapes.
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) for executive reporting.
