Role Overview

ThreatGuard Operations is looking for a vigilant, tech-savvy, and quick-thinking Security Operations Center (SOC) Analyst to join our 24/7 security monitoring team. In this full-time role, you will be on the front lines of our digital defense, monitoring our network for security threats, investigating potential incidents, and initiating appropriate response protocols. Key Responsibilities

• Monitor network traffic and security alerts in real-time using SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) platforms.
• Triage, prioritize, and investigate suspicious activity and potential security threats.
• Execute incident response protocols when security incidents or data breaches are detected.
• Analyze logs, packet captures, and system telemetry to reconstruct security events.
• Maintain and configure security dashboards, monitoring rules, and alert thresholds.
• Collaborate with senior security engineers to mitigate complex security threats.
• Provide clear and concise documentation for all security alerts, investigation steps, and incident resolutions.
• Assist in the development and refinement of incident response playbooks and automated detection rules.
• Communicate potential threats and incident statuses to technical stakeholders and management teams.
• Continuously research new threat landscapes, attack vectors, and defensive strategies.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cyber Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of networking fundamentals, security protocols, and operating systems (Windows, Linux).
• Familiarity with SOC environments and the use of SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills for professional incident documentation and reporting.
• Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage high-pressure situations.
• A proactive, vigilant mindset and a commitment to maintaining security standards.
• Freshers with strong academic foundations in networking or cyber security projects are encouraged to apply; we provide extensive mentorship.
• Reliable high-speed internet connection for consistent, professional virtual collaboration.

Preferred Skills

• Entry-level security certifications such as CompTIA Security+ or BTL1.
• Experience with threat intelligence, vulnerability scanning, or incident response tools.
• Knowledge of scripting languages like Python or PowerShell for automating analysis tasks.
• Familiarity with cloud security configurations in AWS, Azure, or GCP environments.
• Understanding of the MITRE ATT&CK framework and common cyber attack patterns.
