Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor systems and networks for security vulnerabilities, unauthorized access, or policy violations.
• Conduct regular audits and compliance assessments against industry standards (ISO 27001, SOC2, NIST).
• Enforce and update organizational security policies, identity management, and access controls.
• Investigate potential security breaches and perform root cause analysis with incident response teams.
• Identify and document system weaknesses, recommending actionable remediation strategies to engineering teams.
• Manage and configure security software, including anti-malware, firewalls, and data loss prevention (DLP) tools.
• Facilitate security training and awareness initiatives across the entire company.
• Participate in periodic risk management assessments and threat modeling exercises.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical security issues and harden internal systems.
• Document security protocols, incident reports, and compliance documentation for regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of security frameworks, network architectures, and information security principles.
• Experience with common operating systems (Windows, Linux) and network protocols.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills for reporting risks and incidents.
• A proactive, disciplined mindset and a dedication to protecting sensitive organizational information.
• Freshers with relevant internships, academic projects, or early-stage security experience are encouraged to apply; we provide extensive mentorship.
• Reliable high-speed internet connection for consistent, professional virtual collaboration.

Preferred Skills

• Professional security certifications such as Security+, GSEC, or similar.
• Experience with audit logs, SIEM tools, or vulnerability scanning platforms.
• Knowledge of cloud platform security configurations (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Familiarity with identity and access management (IAM) tools and concepts.
• Basic scripting proficiency (e.g., PowerShell or Python) to automate routine security tasks.
