Role Overview

As a Site Reliability Engineer at Anikaay Integration, you will sit at the intersection of software engineering and systems operations. You will be responsible for defining the standards for system health, latency, and availability. You will build automation tools that replace manual work, optimize service performance, and lead the charge in resolving complex incidents. Your goal is to maximize the reliability of our systems while providing a friction-less deployment environment for our developers.

Key Responsibilities

Your work will be pivotal in maintaining our operational standards. Key responsibilities include:

  • Reliability Engineering: Design, build, and maintain highly available, scalable, and resilient systems.
  • Automation: Replace manual operational tasks with automated software solutions to improve efficiency and reduce human error.
  • Incident Response: Act as the primary technical lead during system incidents, ensuring rapid investigation, mitigation, and resolution.
  • Post-Mortems: Lead blameless post-mortems for major incidents, identifying root causes and implementing long-term solutions.
  • Performance Optimization: Monitor system performance and proactively optimize resources to ensure optimal latency and resource utilization.
  • Capacity Planning: Forecast infrastructure requirements and plan for system growth based on data-driven metrics.
  • Cloud Infrastructure: Manage and optimize cloud resources on platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Observability: Enhance our monitoring and alerting frameworks (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog) to improve system visibility.
  • Security & Compliance: Integrate security best practices into our operational workflows to protect system data and integrity.
  • Technical Collaboration: Partner with developers to improve service architectures and drive reliability best practices from the start.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Deep understanding of system design, distributed systems, and reliability patterns.
  • Proven proficiency in automation through scripting (Python, Bash, or Go).
  • Experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes) and cloud-native infrastructure.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux systems and networking concepts.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills, capable of working effectively in a distributed team.

Preferred Skills

  • Certified SRE or relevant professional certifications in Cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP).
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and GitOps.
  • Knowledge of database performance tuning.
  • Understanding of Chaos Engineering principles and tools.
