Role Overview
AutoTest Logic is seeking a technically proficient, analytical, and highly motivated Automation Test Engineer to join our remote-first software engineering team. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for scaling our quality assurance capabilities by building and maintaining advanced test automation frameworks. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring our software releases are efficient, reliable, and high-quality. Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable, reusable, and efficient automation frameworks.
- Write and execute robust test scripts for both UI and backend/API components.
- Integrate automated test suites into existing CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing and deployment.
- Perform cross-browser and cross-platform functional testing to ensure a consistent user experience.
- Debug and troubleshoot automated test failures to identify root causes in application code.
- Collaborate with developers and product managers to refine test coverage based on shifting requirements.
- Participate in peer code reviews for automation scripts to ensure high standards of maintainability.
- Conduct regular regression testing to safeguard existing features during the software development lifecycle.
- Contribute to the selection and evaluation of new automation tools and testing technologies.
- Document automation workflows, framework architecture, and testing procedures for team knowledge sharing.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Strong proficiency in programming languages like Python, Java, or JavaScript for test script development.
- Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, specifically in an agile environment.
- Hands-on experience with at least one major automation tool (Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium).
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a remote, distributed team.
- Proactive, problem-solving mindset with a sharp eye for identifying system inefficiencies.
- Freshers with strong academic foundations in software testing or automation projects are encouraged to apply; we provide extensive mentorship.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection for consistent, professional virtual collaboration.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with CI/CD integration tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
- Knowledge of API testing methodologies (Postman, REST Assured, or similar).
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructures and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with performance testing or security testing automation.
- Understanding of SQL for data verification and database testing.
