Role Overview

NodeCore Dynamics is seeking a highly skilled, efficient, and forward-thinking Node.js Developer to join our remote-first engineering team. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for building, scaling, and maintaining high-performance backend services using the Node.js runtime. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain high-performance, scalable backend services using Node.js and frameworks like Express.js or NestJS.
  • Design and implement efficient, asynchronous logic to handle high-concurrency workloads.
  • Build and maintain robust RESTful APIs and microservices to support front-end applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new features and enhance product functionality.
  • Manage and optimize database schemas (SQL/NoSQL) for high-performance data retrieval.
  • Debug and resolve backend-specific technical issues, focusing on system stability and latency.
  • Participate in peer code reviews to maintain engineering standards and promote best practices.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal development workflows and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Research and implement new technologies to enhance system efficiency and security.
  • Document system architecture, API specifications, and technical workflows for long-term maintenance.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and deep knowledge of the Node.js runtime.
  • Solid understanding of asynchronous programming, event-loop mechanics, and non-blocking I/O.
  • Experience with relational (SQL) or NoSQL database management (e.g., MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Redis).
  • Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a remote team.
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset and a passion for creating high-performance web software.
  • Freshers with strong academic foundations or internship experience are encouraged to apply; we provide extensive mentorship.
  • Reliable high-speed internet connection for consistent, professional virtual collaboration.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with NestJS or other opinionated Node.js frameworks.
  • Familiarity with microservices architecture and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Understanding of API security best practices, including JWT authentication and rate limiting.
  • Experience with message-queue systems (RabbitMQ, Kafka).
  • Familiarity with testing frameworks (Jest, Mocha, Supertest).
