Role Overview

As a Google Cloud Engineer at Anikaay Integration, you will be the lead on designing, deploying, and maintaining cloud environments using the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) ecosystem. You will collaborate with development and DevOps teams to ensure that our applications are scalable, secure, and resilient. You will focus on Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automated deployment pipelines, and optimizing cloud performance to meet the dynamic needs of our business.

Key Responsibilities

Your work will be pivotal in maintaining our operational standards. Key responsibilities include:

  • Cloud Architecture: Architect, build, and deploy highly available, scalable cloud infrastructure using GCP services (Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, VPC, etc.).
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Manage and provision GCP infrastructure using Terraform or Google Cloud Deployment Manager.
  • Pipeline Automation: Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines using Google Cloud Build, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions to accelerate release cycles.
  • Cost Optimization: Monitor and analyze GCP cloud spending; implement cost-saving strategies like instance right-sizing and commitment-based discounts.
  • Security & Governance: Implement and enforce GCP security best practices, IAM policies, VPC Service Controls, and encryption (KMS).
  • Performance Tuning: Analyze logs and metrics (Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging) to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
  • Containerization: Manage containerized workloads using Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).
  • Disaster Recovery: Design and document robust backup and recovery strategies to ensure business continuity.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with developers to support application deployments and troubleshoot connectivity or deployment issues.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of cloud infrastructure, SOPs, and system configurations.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Deep understanding of core GCP services and architectural patterns.
  • Proven proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform/Deployment Manager).
  • Experience with container orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes).
  • Strong knowledge of Linux systems and networking concepts.
  • Experience with scripting languages (Python, Bash, or Go).
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, capable of working effectively in a distributed team.

Preferred Skills

  • Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect or equivalent professional certifications.
  • Experience with serverless computing (Cloud Functions, Cloud Run).
  • Knowledge of database administration within GCP (Cloud SQL, Cloud Spanner).
  • Understanding of monitoring and observability tools like Grafana, Prometheus, or Google Cloud Operations Suite.
