Role Overview

As a Cloud Engineer, you will be central to our digital strategy. You will design, build, and maintain our cloud environments across AWS, Azure, or GCP. You will work closely with development and DevOps teams to ensure our infrastructure is scalable, secure, and cost-effective. You will lead projects involving containerization, infrastructure as code (IaC), and automated deployment pipelines, ensuring high availability for our mission-critical applications.

Key Responsibilities

Your responsibilities are focused on driving efficiency and reliability in the cloud:

  • Architect Cloud Solutions: Design and build scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud environments tailored to business needs.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Utilize Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi to automate the provisioning and management of cloud resources.
  • CI/CD Implementation: Build and maintain automated deployment pipelines to facilitate rapid and reliable software delivery.
  • Optimization & Cost Management: Monitor cloud resource utilization and implement strategies to ensure cost-effectiveness without compromising performance.
  • Security & Compliance: Implement and enforce cloud security best practices, including IAM policies, network security groups, and encryption protocols.
  • Container Orchestration: Manage Kubernetes clusters (EKS/AKS/GKE) and optimize containerized application deployments.
  • Disaster Recovery: Design and test robust disaster recovery and business continuity plans in the cloud.
  • Performance Tuning: Analyze logs and metrics to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in cloud-hosted services.
  • Monitoring & Logging: Implement observability solutions (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack) to ensure proactive system monitoring.
  • Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with software engineers and product teams to integrate cloud-native services effectively.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Deep understanding of cloud computing principles and services (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Proven proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies.
  • Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration tools (Kubernetes).
  • Strong knowledge of Linux administration and networking.
  • Experience with scripting/programming languages (Python, Go, or Bash).
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Skills

  • Professional Cloud Certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert).
  • Strong understanding of serverless computing architectures.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
  • Knowledge of database management systems, including RDS and DynamoDB.
