Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest, transform, and store large-scale datasets.
  • Manage cloud-based data warehouse integrations (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift).
  • Optimize transformation logic for efficiency, speed, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and availability through rigorous monitoring and automated testing.
  • Collaborate with data analysts and business stakeholders to support their data infrastructure needs.
  • Debug and resolve technical issues in data workflows, including failures in ingestion or transformation.
  • Participate in peer code reviews and architectural planning to maintain high engineering standards.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows.
  • Research and implement new data engineering technologies to enhance system performance.
  • Document data architecture, pipeline specifications, and technical workflows for long-term maintenance.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language (Python or Java).
  • Solid understanding of database management systems (SQL/NoSQL) and distributed computing concepts.
  • Experience with modern data processing frameworks (e.g., Apache Airflow, dbt, Informatica).
  • Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a remote, distributed team.
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset and a passion for creating reliable data infrastructure.
  • Freshers with strong academic foundations in data systems or engineering projects are encouraged to apply; we provide extensive mentorship.
  • Reliable high-speed internet connection for consistent, professional virtual collaboration.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and their native data services.
  • Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) for pipeline orchestration.
  • Understanding of data modeling techniques (Star Schema, Data Vault).
  • Experience with automated testing and monitoring for data pipelines.
  • Familiarity with streaming data technologies (e.g., Kafka).
