Role Overview

As an Accounts Payable Executive, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of our vendor and supplier payments. Your role is vital in maintaining our financial health and vendor partnerships. You will ensure that every invoice is verified, approved, and paid accurately and on time. Key Responsibilities

  • Invoice Processing: Receive, verify, and input vendor invoices into our accounting system accurately and timely.
  • Verification: Ensure that all invoices are supported by proper documentation (PO, delivery notes) and approved by the appropriate department heads.
  • Payment Execution: Coordinate and prepare timely payments via bank transfers, ensuring all banking details are accurate.
  • Vendor Reconciliations: Perform regular reconciliations of vendor statements against our internal records to identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Query Management: Act as the primary point of contact for internal departments and external vendors regarding payment status and invoice inquiries.
  • Tax Compliance: Ensure correct deduction of TDS (Tax Deducted at Source) on applicable invoices and assist in preparing periodic filings.
  • Reporting: Generate monthly reports on AP aging, outstanding payments, and cash flow requirements.
  • Documentation: Maintain an organized and secure digital archive of all processed invoices and payment confirmations.
  • Policy Enforcement: Ensure all payments comply with company expense and procurement policies.
  • Process Improvement: Recommend and implement improvements to AP workflows to enhance efficiency and reduce processing time.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related fields.
  • Freshers are welcome to apply; previous experience in Accounts Payable or general accounting is a strong advantage.
  • High proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Formulas).
  • Strong numerical aptitude and high attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding sensitive financial information.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to meet strict payment deadlines.

Preferred Skills

  • Basic knowledge of accounting software like Tally, SAP, or QuickBooks.
  • Understanding of Indian financial statutory requirements and taxation (TDS/GST).
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with internal stakeholders and vendors.
  • Proactive attitude toward problem-solving in a remote setting.
