Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain interactive gameplay mechanics using game engines like Unity or Unreal Engine.
  • Translate game design documents into functional, engaging gameplay logic.
  • Implement and manage efficient game physics, collision detection, and AI behaviors.
  • Collaborate with artists, designers, and sound engineers to integrate game assets and features.
  • Optimize game performance, focusing on frame rate stability, memory usage, and asset loading.
  • Debug and resolve technical issues through rigorous playtesting and performance profiling across platforms.
  • Participate in peer code reviews and sprint planning to maintain engineering standards and feature velocity.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal game development workflows, editor tools, and build pipelines.
  • Research and implement new rendering, UI, or interaction techniques to enhance game immersion.
  • Document game systems, technical specifications, and gameplay workflows for long-term maintenance.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Game Development, or a related technical field.
  • Strong proficiency in C#, C++, or other languages relevant to modern game development.
  • Solid understanding of game development fundamentals, including vectors, linear algebra, and software patterns.
  • Experience with at least one major game engine (Unity, Unreal Engine, or Godot).
  • Familiarity with version control systems like Git or Perforce.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a remote, distributed team.
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset and a deep passion for gaming and interactive software.
  • Freshers with strong portfolio projects, game jams, or personal game prototypes are encouraged to apply; we provide extensive mentorship.
  • Reliable high-speed internet connection for consistent, professional virtual collaboration.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with shader programming, particle systems, or 3D/2D animation pipelines.
  • Understanding of multiplayer networking, latency management, and server architecture.
  • Experience with UI/UX development within game engines.
  • Familiarity with cloud backends (PlayFab, Firebase, AWS GameLift) for player data and analytics.
  • Knowledge of automated testing and profiling tools (e.g., Unity Profiler, Unreal Insights).
