Role Overview

DrupalCore Systems is seeking a technical, methodical, and highly skilled Drupal Developer to join our remote-first engineering team. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining complex enterprise-grade web applications using the Drupal CMS. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain high-quality custom Drupal themes and modules.
  • Translate complex business requirements into site architecture and functional specifications.
  • Configure and manage Drupal site building, content types, taxonomies, and views.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate UI/UX design and custom backend functionality.
  • Optimize site performance, security, and loading speeds to ensure a seamless user experience.
  • Debug and resolve complex technical issues, including module conflicts and performance bottlenecks.
  • Participate in peer code reviews to maintain engineering standards and best practices.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal development workflows, staging, and deployment pipelines.
  • Research and implement new technologies to enhance content management capabilities.
  • Document project architecture, API specifications, and technical workflows for long-term maintenance.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related technical field.
  • Strong proficiency in PHP and deep knowledge of the Drupal framework (D9/D10+).
  • Solid understanding of web standards (HTML5, CSS3) and responsive design principles.
  • Experience with database management (MySQL) and troubleshooting common Drupal configuration issues.
  • Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a remote, distributed team.
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset and a passion for creating high-quality, maintainable web solutions.
  • Freshers with strong portfolio projects or internship experience are encouraged to apply; we provide extensive mentorship.
  • Reliable high-speed internet connection for consistent, professional virtual collaboration.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Composer, Drush, and modern PHP dependency management.
  • Knowledge of headless Drupal architectures and decoupled frontend integrations.
  • Understanding of web accessibility standards (WCAG) and security hardening for Drupal sites.
  • Experience with build tools (Webpack) and deployment workflows (CI/CD).
  • Familiarity with REST API development and integration within the Drupal ecosystem.
