Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain efficient, scalable web applications using Ruby on Rails.
  • Design and implement robust RESTful API solutions for seamless integration.
  • Manage and optimize ActiveRecord database models and migrations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new features and functionality.
  • Optimize application performance, response times, and server-side logic.
  • Debug and resolve backend-specific technical issues through rigorous testing.
  • Participate in peer code reviews to maintain engineering standards and best practices.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal development workflows and deployment pipelines.
  • Research and implement new technologies to enhance system efficiency and security.
  • Document system architecture, API specifications, and technical workflows.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong proficiency in Ruby and deep knowledge of the Ruby on Rails framework.
  • Solid understanding of MVC architecture, object-oriented programming, and server-side logic.
  • Experience with database management (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and ActiveRecord.
  • Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a remote team.
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset and a passion for creating high-performance web software.
  • Freshers with strong academic foundations or internship experience are encouraged to apply; we provide extensive mentorship.
  • Reliable high-speed internet connection for consistent, professional virtual collaboration.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with front-end integration (Hotwire, Turbo, Stimulus).
  • Understanding of API security best practices and OAuth.
  • Experience with testing frameworks (RSpec, Minitest).
  • Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
  • Knowledge of background job processing (Sidekiq, Redis).
