Role Overview

As a Cloud Architect, you will be the technical lead for our cloud strategy. You will design secure, scalable, and highly available systems on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. You will lead cross-functional teams in migrating legacy applications to the cloud, defining best practices for Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and ensuring optimal performance and cost efficiency across our global cloud footprint. Your deep technical knowledge will guide our architectural decisions and shape our future product delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will encompass the entire lifecycle of our cloud ecosystem:

  • Strategic Design: Develop comprehensive cloud architectures that meet business requirements for security, scalability, and cost.
  • Cloud Migration: Lead end-to-end cloud migration projects, ensuring minimal downtime and seamless cutovers.
  • Governance & Security: Establish and enforce cloud governance policies, security standards, and compliance frameworks.
  • IaC Leadership: Drive the adoption of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Pulumi) across all project teams.
  • Cost Optimization: Continuously analyze cloud spend and implement cost-saving architectures and strategies.
  • Mentorship: Provide technical leadership and mentorship to Cloud Engineers and DevOps teams.
  • Reliability Engineering: Design systems for high availability, disaster recovery, and fault tolerance.
  • Technology Evaluation: Stay at the forefront of cloud trends to recommend new tools and technologies to leadership.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Partner with development, security, and operations teams to bridge gaps between code and cloud.
  • Documentation: Maintain architectural blueprints, design documents, and roadmap strategies.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Extensive experience in cloud architecture and engineering (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Deep proficiency in designing distributed systems and microservices architectures.
  • Strong background in Infrastructure as Code and automation tools.
  • Proven ability to lead technical teams and manage enterprise-grade projects.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Industry-standard certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert).
  • Experience with advanced container orchestration (Kubernetes at scale).
  • Familiarity with serverless architectures and event-driven design.
  • Background in security-first architectural design (DevSecOps).
