Role Overview

CI-Dynamics is seeking a proactive, technical, and detail-oriented CodeIgniter Developer to join our remote-first engineering team. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for the development, maintenance, and optimization of web applications built on the CodeIgniter framework. We are looking for developers who can handle both new feature requests and the modernization of existing systems. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high-quality web applications using the CodeIgniter framework.
• Translate business requirements into efficient, maintainable, and modular PHP code.
• Maintain and refactor legacy CodeIgniter applications to improve performance and security.
• Manage and optimize MySQL databases for high-speed data access.
• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate interactive UI components with server-side logic.
• Debug and resolve backend-specific issues through thorough testing and troubleshooting.
• Participate in code reviews to maintain engineering standards and foster team learning.
• Integrate third-party APIs and services into our existing web infrastructure.
• Contribute to internal technical documentation for application workflows and architecture.
• Research and recommend best practices to enhance application security and efficiency.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in PHP and proven experience with the CodeIgniter framework.
• Solid understanding of MVC architecture, object-oriented programming, and web fundamentals.
• Experience with relational databases (MySQL/MariaDB) and writing efficient queries.
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive in a remote, distributed environment.
• A proactive, problem-solving mindset and a passion for creating high-quality web software.
• Freshers with strong academic foundations or internship experience are encouraged to apply; we provide extensive support.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with newer versions of CodeIgniter (4.x).
• Knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery).
• Understanding of web security standards, including input sanitization and prevention of SQL injection.
• Familiarity with Composer and modern PHP ecosystem practices.
• Experience with testing frameworks (PHPUnit) and deployment workflows.
