Role Overview

EcomStream Dynamics is seeking a technical, detail-oriented, and passionate WooCommerce Developer to join our remote-first engineering team. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-converting e-commerce platforms using the WooCommerce ecosystem. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain custom WooCommerce e-commerce stores to meet specific business requirements.
• Develop, modify, and extend WooCommerce plugins using PHP, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Optimize checkout flows, cart functionality, and overall store performance for higher conversions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate complex design assets and store features.
• Manage payment gateway integrations, shipping modules, and inventory management systems.
• Debug and resolve technical issues, including plugin conflicts, database errors, and theme issues.
• Participate in peer code reviews to maintain engineering standards and best practices.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal development workflows and staging environments.
• Research and implement new technologies to enhance e-commerce functionality and user experience.
• Document technical specifications, store architecture, and maintenance workflows for long-term support.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related technical field.
• Strong proficiency in PHP, WordPress, and WooCommerce development.
• Solid understanding of web standards (HTML5, CSS3) and responsive design principles.
• Experience with database management (MySQL) and troubleshooting e-commerce systems.
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a remote, distributed team.
• A proactive, problem-solving mindset and a passion for creating high-quality e-commerce experiences.
• Freshers with strong portfolio projects or internship experience are encouraged to apply; we provide extensive mentorship.
• Reliable high-speed internet connection for consistent, professional virtual collaboration.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with page builders (Elementor) and custom post types within e-commerce contexts.
• Knowledge of API integrations (Stripe, PayPal, HubSpot, ERPs).
• Understanding of web accessibility standards (WCAG) and security best practices for e-commerce.
• Experience with build tools (Webpack, Gulp) and deployment workflows (WP-CLI, CI/CD).
• Familiarity with REST API development within the WordPress/WooCommerce environment.
