Role Overview

As our Inventory Manager, you will be the strategic lead for all inventory-related activities. You will define our inventory policies, select and oversee the implementation of management systems, and ensure that our stock levels are optimized for both cost-efficiency and fulfillment accuracy. This is a key leadership role for an individual who excels at analytical modeling, enjoys building processes from the ground up, and thrives in a challenging, technology-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Inventory Planning: Develop and execute an inventory management strategy that supports our growth objectives.
  • Optimization: Continuously analyze and optimize stock levels to minimize holding costs while ensuring product availability.
  • Systems Leadership: Select, implement, and oversee advanced Inventory Management Systems (IMS/WMS) to automate and enhance tracking.
  • Forecasting: Utilize data-driven models to forecast inventory needs based on sales trends, lead times, and seasonal demand.
  • Turnover Analysis: Monitor inventory turnover rates and identify opportunities to liquidate obsolete stock or improve purchasing cadence.
  • Control & Compliance: Implement robust internal controls to prevent shrinkage, inaccuracies, and ensure compliance with auditing standards.
  • Performance Metrics: Establish, track, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) like stock accuracy, order fill rates, and holding costs.
  • Cross-functional Leadership: Collaborate with procurement, finance, and operations teams to align inventory levels with company capacity and sales projections.
  • Vendor Relationship Strategy: Partner with the procurement team to align vendor lead times with our optimal inventory goals.
  • Mentorship: Build and mentor a high-performing inventory team, fostering a culture of accuracy, transparency, and professional growth.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or related fields.
  • Freshers are welcome to apply; significant leadership experience in inventory or supply chain management is highly preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in inventory modeling, data analytics, and forecasting techniques.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
  • Deep understanding of ERP/WMS/IMS systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
  • Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving abilities in high-stakes environments.

Preferred Skills

  • Strategic mindset with the ability to balance immediate operational needs with long-term goals.
  • Experience in implementing change management or process automation in supply chain operations.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills (modeling, macros) and data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau).
  • Strong capacity to manage complexity in a remote-first, fast-paced technology organization.
