Role Overview

As an HR Generalist, you will act as the cornerstone of our HR operations. You will be responsible for a wide range of human resource activities, including talent acquisition, onboarding, employee relations, payroll support, and performance management. You will serve as a trusted advisor to both employees and management, ensuring that our HR policies are implemented fairly and effectively while promoting a positive workplace culture in our remote-first environment.

Key Responsibilities

Your work will be varied and impactful. Key responsibilities include:

  • Talent Acquisition: Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including sourcing, interviewing, and offer negotiations.
  • Onboarding: Design and facilitate seamless onboarding programs to integrate new hires into our culture and systems.
  • Employee Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for employee grievances, counseling, and conflict resolution.
  • Payroll & Benefits: Oversee the payroll processing lifecycle and manage employee benefits administration.
  • Statutory Compliance: Ensure all HR activities and documentation comply with local labor laws and regulations.
  • Performance Management: Manage the performance appraisal process and assist in developing growth paths for employees.
  • HR Policy Development: Draft and update company HR policies, handbooks, and internal documentation.
  • Employee Engagement: Organize and lead virtual engagement activities, wellness programs, and team-building events.
  • Database Management: Maintain accurate employee records, leave logs, and performance data in our HRIS.
  • Data Analysis: Prepare HR reports on turnover, retention, and employee satisfaction to provide insights to leadership.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of HR best practices, talent acquisition, and employee lifecycle management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel for data tracking.
  • Ability to maintain absolute confidentiality and professional integrity.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Preferred Skills

  • Hands-on experience with HRIS platforms and recruitment tools.
  • In-depth knowledge of Indian Labor Laws and statutory requirements (PF, ESI, Gratuity).
  • Experience working in a remote-first or tech-oriented company.
  • Conflict resolution and mediation certification or experience.
